The Videopac G7000 is a cartridge based game console which uses a TV as a screen. Remarkable to this system was that it had a keyboard. Graphics however stayed behind competative sytems at the early eighties. Sound was ahead with ‘the voice’ expansion module which provided speech synthesis. The was also an expansion module for chess. The G7400 should ensure marketshare but due to the decline of the video game market in the mid eighties it lost marketshare to home computers like the C64. The Videopac was released under the Magnavox Odyssey brand in the US.
